MICHELE DE LUCCHI AT DESIGN TALKS

Rossana celebrates its second Design Talk by hosting one of the most renowned representatives of Italian design: Michele De Lucchi, internationally known for having contributed to the renewal of Italian design in the second half of the 20th century. The Talk was moderated by Gilda Bojardi, director of INTERNI magazine, and was a chance to discuss Michele De Lucchi’s cooperation with Rossana. In the 1980s he planned very innovative kitchen models for the brand, as “Rossana 214” and “Fenice”.

“CURRENTLY, THE CREATIVE APPROACH LACKS A BIT OF IRONY… FACING THINGS WITH A CERTAIN LEVEL OF EASINESS STIMULATES CREATIVITY.”

The architect shared some personal thoughts, and through anecdotes and stories of his experience he recalled his relationship with the brand and some crucial steps of the experience that led him to the foundation of the AMDL CIRCLE multidisciplinary study.

“A PROJECT IS NEVER A TECHNICAL PROJECT, BUT A LIFE PROJECT. IF YOU DON’T START FROM LIFE, YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER ALL THE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES WE HAVE COME TO ACQUIRE, GIVING THEM DEEP MEANING.”

The Talk ended with a Q&A session with participants, an interesting way to exchange thoughts and ideas on topics such as design and sustainability, the interpretation of materials, and future planning of projects and designs.
