SIMONA TAGLIAFERRI INTERPRETS THE PROJECTS BY THE GREAT ARCHITECTS WHO HAVE DEFINED THE BRAND’S HISTORY AND MAGNIFIES THEIR ESSENCE WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE MESSAGE HER OWN DISTINCTIVE STYLE PORTRAYS
Since 2019, Simona Tagliaferri has been the Art Director for Rossana, a landmark in international design in the world of haute couture kitchens. With an exceptional academic background in architecture and a degree in gemology, she explores the relationship between space and the strength of materials, defining a harmonious style which lies between philosophical contemplation and pure scientific aesthetics. She visually translates the projects by the great designers who have defined the brand’s history and highlights their essence without compromising the message her own distinctive style portrays. She enriches the bond between functionality and minimalism, suggesting a new and revisited image of the brand defined by proportions, volumes and light, which all communicate with each other to create new narratives.
THE STONE, SEEN BOTH FROM A CONCRETE AND METAPHORICAL PERSPECTIVE, CONTROLS THE OBJECTS AND THE EMOTIONS WITHIN THE SPACE, BINDING THEM TOGETHER AND DEFINING THEIR STYLE.
The makeover of the flagship store in Milan in September 2020 marks the beginning of a new cultural journey, which stems from the meticulous research for balanced proportions and from her studies of minerals. With ISOLA, Simona Tagliaferri introduces Rossana’s renewed essence. The project casts a new light on the debate regarding matter by eradicating contemporary virtuosity; it places raw stone in the spotlight with all its shameless beauty. The stone, seen both from a concrete and metaphorical perspective, controls the objects and the emotions within the space, binding them together and defining their style.
